Today I wrote in my
personal blog where the idea of Ziggeo originated. Thought I'd share it here as well.
Launching Ziggeo
This was an exciting week for me. I
launched in private beta a brand new service called
Ziggeo. It’s thrilling to see an idea I had a few years ago finally come to fruition.
I remember applying to find an au pair. We used a service that allowed us to search their database of au pairs by checking out each of their pictures and profiles. Certain au pairs uploaded short videos of themselves, and I remember thinking how powerful those videos were. In just a few seconds I could tell which au pairs could be an ideal fit for our family and which would be complete disasters. In that moment, I truly understood the power of video.
So I thought wouldn’t it be cool if for every position we needed to fill, whether it be for a job at work, a caretaker at home or a roommate, we could have candidates upload their videos? Think of how much time we’d save — and how much more efficient the interview process— would be.
That’s how the idea of Ziggeo was born. Your own personal screening room. And now it’s launched. Well, at least in private. Let me know if you’d like to try it out.
