Capturing Videos at Hackathons
Hackathons are appreciating how Ziggeo’s video API can improve hackers’ experiences and help capture the hackathon moment.
How are hackathons using Ziggeo? Here are a few use cases we’ve seen:
HACKERS RECORD VIDEOS:
- Hackers record pitches on video. Here’s one example of the ATT Hackathon for Women that incorporated Ziggeo’s video API and open source Video Wall to capture and display videos: /atthack
- Hackers introduce on videos hacks they intend to build. This can help with the matching process so folks can match up with folks having similar interests
- Hackers record video testimonials on the hackathon itself. Let hackers record what they like about your hackathon. You can use these videos to publicize next year’s event
- Sponsors record videos giving a short explanation of their API. You can check out http://videohackday.com/#apis for an example of how sponsor videos can be featured on a hackathon website.
- Let judges introduce themselves and give tips on what they look for in a winning hack. You can even use Ziggeo for remote judges to weigh in on tips and record expert videos you can launch via YouTube, integrate into Facebook, etc.
