Pre-Recorded Video Interviews: Revealing a Candidate’s Spark

We're all looking for that spark. You know what I mean.  That glint in someone's eyes that shows she's the one for you.  You just know.  You can see it in person or on video.  But on a resume or cover letter -- not at all.  That's what's so unfortunate about picking candidates to interview based on just a cover letter and resume.  If we base our decision solely on them, we're likely to stick with the safe choices.  We tend to pick candidates with the highest GPAs from the best schools.

And yet what about that spark?  Maybe she wasn't at the top of her class. Maybe she didn't go to an Ivy League school. But she has something.  In fact, it turns out that the spark may just be what you're looking for.  But without that video, you'd never know.
