SOC 2 Compliance

You asked and we listened. Ziggeo is pleased to announce that we’ve obtained SOC 2 Type 1 certification as of the start of 2021.

What is SOC 2?

SOC 2 is an internationally-recognized framework developed by the Association of International Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).  It’s currently regarded as the gold standard for validating software companies’ security compliance. 

Sharing details about security is not safe to do with all companies. This type of certificate helps you know that a third party made the necessary checks of our system for you, which helps us build trust with you the customer.

How did we get Certified?

This certification involved different tests, documents and required that we have a specific company structure in order to be able to pass and obtain this certification.

It included control environment, risk assessment, how information is shared within Ziggeo as well as the communication of the team itself. It also covered monitoring we have in place and security aspects of our system just as security our team applied on their personal side. Amongst other things it also covers different types of access to data.

Auditors checked the management and overall internal team structure to make sure that everything is set in the right manner and all the right things were where they should.

They also checked how our system is updated, how we release changes, manage bugs and other aspects of our current procedures.
