The Benefit of Video Comments

Why include video comments on your site?  We’ve noticed several benefits:

• By enabling video comments from your readers, you’ll be able to hear (literally!) from them and see them first hand. That tends to lead to less misinterpretation of words.When video comments are submitted, you may find that people show more respect for one another.  They become less anonymous than with written comments that may or may not reveal who they are.  And when you see someone face-to-face -- or video to video (particularly if a post is video blog -- see Video Blogs), you may be less likely to be disrespectful and lash out against a writer or others from the community commenting on video.
• Video comments are a way for a writer to get closer to his/her audience, understand who the audience is, and as such better relate to the comment itself.
• Similarly, video comments let the audience get more familiar with each other which can lead to a tighter community of commenters.
• With Ziggeo’s API and Wordpress Plugin for Video Comment, it’s also easy for comments to be recorded and directly submitted to the comment field of a particular blog.  There is no uploading or downloading of videos necessary.  In fact, for many it’s actually easy to record a video comment than it is to compose a written comment.
