What you should look out for when making a video
When recording a video there are many things that could go wrong. You might stutter, forget what you wanted to talk about and even a cat coming in and taking your camera off.
This all sounds as something you should really think about when making a video, however the reality is a bit different. There are some more important things to keep your focus on instead.
The most important thing
Well, we went through several different things you could say are really important to present yourself like a pro in a video through the series. And now we will give you the most important one when we talk about what should you look out for.
The short answer is yourself. Yes, that is correct, you should look out for yourself. When there is fear about recording yourself, presenting before people or just talking with someone you do not know, the fear can try to stop you from doing it.
To do that, you might start asking yourself what you need to look out for and what might go wrong.
So what you should do is actually simple.
A reminder
We have mentioned everything you need, however here are short reminders of the same.
Make sure to keep that list of questions ahead of you. It will help you if you forget what to mention next.
Have a glass of water near by, just to help when that is needed.
Most importantly, remember that you are a human. We are all likely to make a mistake or two along the way. If there is one in the video, that is fine. If it really came down to it, you could always apologize.
Until that moment becomes reality, just remember to look towards the camera, relax and talk as if you are talking to someone close to you. If you happen to make a small mistake, just move on pass it as if nothing happened and likely no one will notice, or make much of it.
In some cases you might also be able to make re-recordings before you submit. This is also something we will talk about in our next article of the series so make sure to catch it.
