Ziggeo Data Day: Attaching a CV to a Video Interview May Give You the Edge

According to Ziggeo’s research, when video interviewees are given the option of attaching a CV to their videos, doing so may increase their ratings by as much as 57.87%. Why? Perhaps because the more motivated, serious and dedicated candidates tend to give prospective employers everything possible they are asked for, while the more lackadaisical (and less desirable) applicants tend to submit the minimum requested – a potential red flag that they have low expectations for themselves and the job. While tons of books have been written about how to write the perfect resume, a few points to remember are to limit the resume to no more than two pages, include a section on “Professional Experience” and “Education,” write in bullet points rather than paragraphs (since resumes tend to be skimmed, not read), make sure the resume is up-to-date, avoid large, unexplained gaps in one’s timeline, and proofread, proofread, and proofread again. Of course, even the most polished resume will usually not reveal a candidate’s own special spark.  That’s exactly why video interviews can be priceless for both interviewee and interviewer. CV1

Ziggeo API provides an easy and secure way to integrate recording and playing of videos into any site.  And Ziggeo’s system lets you gain insight into a large number of people in a short period of time  by watching their pre-recorded videos before you meet.
