Ziggeo: Originally Created to Solve Our Own Problem
We originally developed Ziggeo to solve our own problem. Here's the background:
- Our original idea for Ziggeo was to launch a recruitment platform that could capture videos from candidates and employers. We needed a solution to record/play videos from our platform — but none existed.
- We spent 9 months developing complex video technology (no easy task!)
- We realized a SaaS solution for video recording/playback was much needed.
- We closed our own platform to focus on developing the video SaaS solution for other platforms, starting with small businesses/SMEs and then growing to enterprise customers.
- As such, our once competitors (recruitment platforms) became our customers. And we were able to service many other kinds of industries/platforms as well.
- Previously: there no easy way for businesses to capture videos. Customers would need to record videos, upload them to YouTube, adjust the privacy setting to "private" and send businesses the corresponding links. It was a cumbersome process, and businesses ultimately had no control over those videos (links could easily be taken down). With Ziggeo, businesses have complete control over the video content. Videos can be kept completely private or they can be moderated and curated before they're posted.
