Something new to help you as well as us
This week we have a very interesting announcement. As you know we always loved and valued your feedback. It helped shape some options and some of them were not even be there unless one of our customers reached out in the first place.
Now this was in past done through our forum or through tickets (emails). From now on however we are going to be using a new way of achieving this. Similar to forum that is easy to have different people see and add their thoughts, yet different.
Different in the sense that we will now be able to show you the features we are working on, features to be added, as well as our roadmap. And all of this would be possible with your help.
The new feedback
The new feedback is going to be powered by Canny.io and you can find our pages here: feedback.ziggeo.com
As you come to the page, you will immediately see some sections at the top with the roadmap right under it.
We feel that this will allow you to quickly go to the area of interest and create the feature requests that are interesting to you.
As you can see in the image above, the roadmap is very clear about what we might need some info on as well as what is planned or what is already being added to our system.
What are sections?
To make things easier to find once there are many entries we have tried to separate the posts into sections. For example if you are interested in our integrations, you do not need to go through all of the features about webhooks, api and alike to see the requested ones.
Since anything can be typed, the title could hold the name of integration with the word "integration" in the title, yet it might not. This way all integration related features are in Integrations section.
Some sections also have their own filtering. This allows you to quickly go through points of interest.
Using our feedback page
When we say our feedback page we mean yours and ours alike. We are here together making something new spark into the world of web and media. As such we want to encourage you to leave as little and as much info that you want on these pages.
As these pages are hosted on Canny, if you want to add your feedback you would need to register for a free account. The benefit however is that many services are already using this Canny so if you already have an account on Canny, you will be able to use that one.
Once you have the account you would easily add your own feature requests
Spotting a feature you like would allow you to quickly add your own comments.
Likewise it is very easy as well to upvote the features that you like.
Changelog
Next to the roadmap and being able to add your comments and features, we will also keep the changelog updated. This will allow you to filter through some new announcements made on our system.
We plan to combine this with our blog, allowing you to get short updates as well as longer information that you might be after. The great thing about the Changelog page is that it allows you to filter updates. You can filter posts by "New", "Improved" and "Fixed".
This allows you to quickly find new features, improved features where we add some additional options as well as fixes. Of course in some cases an update might also include all of these.
For this reason there are also labels that we will use to allow you to further filter through our posts for specific entries.
Summary
Our hope is that this feedback system and our dev-updates program is something that will help everyone find the way that is best for them to keep updated and take part in shaping Ziggeo.
