What is Ziggeo

You are likely already familiar with Ziggeo, however for those that are not, read on. Ziggeo is award winning service for capturing, hosting and playback of various types of media.

In plain words, you can capture video, capture audio and capture images - all with single, easy to use system - Ziggeo.

Want to know a bit more? We suggest checking out our About page and our blog. For now, let's go into "how Ziggeo".

How you can use Ziggeo

The great thing about Ziggeo is that you can use it in any way that you need to.

  1. Want to capture video without having a website? Check!
  2. Want to add video player on your website? Check!
  3. Looking to add video into your mobile app? Check and Check!

There really are many different ways to start using Ziggeo. Server side to mobile devices and then straight to your website, forms, etc.

Capture video and audio without website

With Ziggeo, that is simple. All you would really need is to log into your Ziggeo dashboard and create as many landing pages as you want. We call them hosted pages, however they do exactly the same.

With the use of several available templates you can quickly start utilizing this to your advantage.

You can see more about the process in our docs here: How to create your Hosted page.

Add Ziggeo to your existing website

Are you expecting to see a lot of code that follows? Well, you will be surprised. All you would need to do is just know how to copy and paste things into your website. You likely know exactly how and your fingers are just itching to see if you really do just copy and paste it.

If so, let's go. First, you should head over to our Header page.

By default it is set up to show you the best code you would copy and paste. You can however change the options in the page to generate some other code.

Now just copy that code and paste it into the Header of the page where you want to add your recorder or player.

These sections are usually called "header" or "headers", also "page headers" depending on the system you are using.

The hardest part is over. The last part is to just grab the code for player or recorder.

While our docs are filled with various examples, possibly the best one is our sandbox. It will allow you to click through and pick what you want to use. Once done, you can just copy the code.

You can see the sandbox here: Configuration Sandbox.

Got the code? Great! Now copy and paste the code into the area of the page where you want the recorder to be shown.

  • Note: Some systems offer a special field to add HTML code. You might need to use such a field, and in that case such fields are often referred to as "Custom HTML" or "Custom Code" fields.

Adding Ziggeo to your mobile apps

We have customers that were able to run our demo app on their own even though they are not developers. It does however require you to be familiar with some development process or to be in adventure mood.

Generally we recommend that you pass the SDKs to your development team or just tell them to reach out to our support team.

We have many SDKs to choose from, from Android and iOS native SDKs to frameworks such as React Native, Flutter, Xamarin and others.

Adding your own videos

While left for last, it is by far the easiest way to add videos. You can just log into your account and create an Application (or use the one we created for you). Under each Application there is a Videos page.

This page shows all existing videos, however it also has 2 different options for you to add videos into the Dashboard. There is no code to copy or page, just click and upload.

As you do, you will fill out your app with videos just ready to show or share at any point you are ready.
