Ziggeo’s Video Transcoding API: Recommended Formats

To ensure your videos can be played across all major devices and browsers, Ziggeo recommends transcoding your videos into the following three formats:

• mp4
• webm
• ogv

The mp4 has however shown itself as the best format for your videos historically and it is what looks like the best for format for the future.

All three formats are supported by Ziggeo's Video Transcoding API for any of the incoming videos. It is good to note that Ziggeo at this time only transcodes to the mp4 format. This decision was made at the early start and has proven to be the best format so far. We do have plans to support other formats in the future.
