Documentation

The general tab in the settings will allow you to set up things that will tell the plugin how to handle various scenarios on your WordPress website. At least those where the embeddings can or will be shown.

At the very top you are shown Application Token field.

This information tells us about your application and allows our plugin to do what is needed.

This is something that would be added once and then utilized by the plugin.

Our system is by default set on Auto. This means that it will be using US English or if the browser tells some specific preference (and we support it) then that will be used instead.

You can however set up the language that you prefer to always be used. This is great if your audience is from a specific location. Alternatively for example if you want to make sure that people that apply to your job know the language that they apply for this is great way to do it.

When it comes to comments there is no better way than to have your community, customers or clients reply to your blogs with multimedia such as video.

We offer you different ways to customize the experience with and around comments area.

  • You can disable video comments - leaving comments as they usually are, plain text.

  • You can also set up the comments to require video to be recorded, however offer to also add text next to it.

  • You can just make the video comment, with text disabled

By setting up the recorder and player templates for the video comments you will be able to pick which template should be shown in comments.

This way you are in control how the embeddings in the comments look.

The minimal required permissions for video comments allows you to set up what kind of permissions someone can have in order to be able to record a video. With the same setup, you can easily make the recorder shown within the comment, yet not make it available to everyone.

Set the permissions level you feel comfortable with. For reference you can use WordPress permissions page to find the level you need.

Our system is designed to provide you with the options to set up the embedding the way you like it. However what if the template you are using is removed at some point? What if you just use simplest of the shortcodes in some pages and still want them to have some customization done to it?

This is what our Recorder and Player config options allow. These fields will be used to create other embeddings when no info is available. For example such like embedding theme, theme color, etc.

The Recorder for Integrations field allows you to define the template that you would use in case the information is missing and the request is made by the integration.

What if this is not set up at all?

Well our system will use the final fallback in such case. We have some parameters hardcoded as the defaults. These are the last ones to be utilized.

Want to hear even better info? Ziggeo was always built with awesome defaults, even if none get to be used, Ziggeo templates will utilize Ziggeo defaults and run just fine.

So do you have to set it up? No! This is an optional option for you in case you like to fine tune things.
